Grand Pools was founded on a single belief: that water, at its finest, should be indistinguishable from the architecture it serves. We work with a small number of homeowners each year — selected for the quality of their vision as much as the calibre of their property.

Every commission begins with the land. We study how light moves across the garden, how the house meets the ground, before a single line is drawn.

"We don't build pools.
We complete gardens."

— James Whitmore, Founder & Principal

A Different Way of Living

Still water,
still mind.

The most considered pools are never the ones noticed first.
They are the ones you never want to leave.

How We Work

A measured approach
to something permanent.

  1. Site & Context We read the land before we touch it — orientation, gradient, sightlines, seasonal light.
  2. Design Development Architecture-led drawings, material studies, and one considered design direction — not options.
  3. Craftsmanship Delivered by a curated team who have worked with us for years, not the lowest tender.
  4. Completion We remain until the water is right. Commissioning is not a handover — it is the final act of design.
